Somewhere amid her responsibilities as the head of a multimillion dollar lifestyle brand and company, Martha Stewart [1] still finds the time to play what is perhaps her favorite role -- doting grandmother. The mogul stepped out in New York City on Wednesday, Sept. 4, pushing a beige polka-dotted stroller with adorable granddaughter Jude aboard.
Stewart, who turned 72 just one day earlier, kept her look casual in a button-down faded blue shirt and slim black pants. She kept her shoes sensible for plenty of walking in brown scalloped flats.

And it's clear that good looks run in the family! Two-year-old Jude (the daughter of Stewart's only daughter Alexis) shares her grandmother's flaxen hair and defined features.
The relaxing afternoon stroll comes amid news that Stewart's line of houseware goods was reportedly dropped by J.C. Penney[3] recently after sales of the home maven's goods turned up disappointing, according to The New York Post.

Unidentified sources told the paper that Mike Ullman, the company's top executive, decided to drop Stewart's line more than a year and a half after both Stewart and J.C. Penney were hit with a lawsuit by Macy's, alleging that they had violated a 2006 agreement that Stewart would sell certain wares exclusively through Macy's.
Reps for both Stewart's Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. and J.C. Penney have so far remained silent on the issue.
